Merlin is proud to donate a percentage of his store's profits to his favorite causes. Currently we are featuring The Haven, a fantastic foundation.  The Haven Animal Shelter The Haven is a private foundation, founded in 1977 by Dr. Brenda Wilbanks and Joe Wilbanks. The Haven occupies a seven acre property near Lubbock, Texas. In addition to many special- needs animals, such as those with chronic illnesses and the elderly, the Haven also shelters a wide variety of adoptable dogs and cats who are in need of good, loving homes.
We need your help to make the Haven the best possible home for our animals, whether they reside here temporarily or lifelong! Donations of services, goods, and money, and all are greatly appreciated. We need many more donors. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The Haven is a no-kill facility, and as such, we are always full. Currently, the Haven is home to approximately 300 animals. All animals are spayed/neutered and kept current on their shots. Our adoption fee is $75 for dogs and $50 for cats, which, as you can imagine, covers only a fraction of the spay or neuter charge, immunizations and other care received while here. (We offer a 20% senior citizen discount, which may be requested if needed.) Or if you can donate over and above the adoption fee, we appreciate that, too! If you are looking for a new friend or family member, please consider adopting a shelter animal. If you love dogs or cats, but can't adopt right now, please consider our Adoption Option, where you become a "virtual" pet owner. "Adopt", love, and visit regularly a Haven pet, who will continue to live at the Haven until adopted more permanently-- you can have a big part in helping socialize the animal and helping keep its mental, emotional and behavioral health optimized so that it becomes or remains adoptable.
